2010 – Year in review ( comments)

Over the last year Echo has been working hard to deliver scalable, customizable real-time experiences to leading web properties around the world.

With the launch of Echo Comments in 2009 we started a trend. We changed the commenting landscape by making social logins, social reactions and real-time the new industry standard for website conversation.

In 2010 we continued to push the limits. We…

We’ve also been engaged in a continuing transition to focus more effectively on our business customers. A transition that will continue this coming year.

Of course we are ever grateful to our customers who have bet on Echo and inspired us in 2010.

But we continue to push for more. More innovation, customization and control. More Possibilities.

We spent most of 2010 planning, developing and productizing new and exciting technologies that have not yet been shared publicly.

2011 will be the time to share. And we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to.

More soon.

Changes to the Facebook API – No action required. ( comments)

Some of you may have received an email from Facebook announcing the deprecation of some of their API features after January 7, 2011.

Those soon-to-be-deprecated features are currently used by Echo to integrate with Facebook, more specifically to handle the API key and the sharing of comments.

We are working on an update in order to maintain the current Facebook functionality in Echo. No actions are required on the publisher’s side.

The tentative date of the Facebook integration release update is January 6, 2011.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns or experience any difficulties.
